What we run
Briskly.tools is a collection of free web tools. They run entirely in your browser. When you fill in an invoice, draft an NDA, or paste text into the token counter, that data stays in your browser. We don't have a backend that sees it. We don't store it on any server we control. We don't sell it or share it.
What we collect
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage: which pages get visited, which countries visitors come from, how long pages load. GA4 collects standard web analytics data: page URL, referrer, browser/device info, and a randomly-assigned anonymous ID stored in a cookie. It does not collect what you type into any tool on the site. Google is the data processor for this. See Google's privacy policy. If you want to opt out of GA4 specifically, use a browser extension like uBlock Origin or enable Do Not Track.
LocalStorage (browser only)
Our tools use your browser's localStorage to save your work between sessions — your invoice form, your NDA draft, the text you last tokenized. This data stays on your device. We never read it from our servers. Clearing your browser data wipes it permanently. You can also clear it manually from any tool's "Reset" button.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) logs basic HTTP request data (IP address, timestamp, URL, user agent) for standard operational reasons like DDoS prevention and debugging. Vercel's retention is limited. See Vercel's privacy policy.
What we don't collect
- No user accounts (you can't sign up)
- No email addresses (we don't ask)
- No invoice / NDA / lease / token content (stays in your browser)
- No uploaded logos or documents (stored only in your browser)
- No payment info (the tools are free; there's no transaction)
Third-party links and affiliate disclosure
Some pages link to third-party products (invoicing SaaS, landlord software, e-signature services). Clicking those links sends you to the third party's site, which has its own privacy policy. If any of those links are configured as affiliate links, Briskly may earn a commission when you sign up for the partner's product — at no cost to you. All such links are disclosed on the page they appear on. We only recommend products we'd point a friend at.
Cookies
We use two categories of cookies: (1) strictly necessary cookies that Vercel sets for session handling and abuse prevention; (2) analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish anonymous visitors. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. You can block all cookies in your browser settings — the tools will still work; your work just won't persist in localStorage.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR for EU/UK residents, CCPA for California, PIPEDA for Canada), you may have specific rights around your personal data: to know what's collected, to request deletion, to port data, to opt out of sale (we don't sell data). To exercise any of these rights, email hello@briskly.tools. In practical terms, since we don't have accounts and don't store your tool inputs, most requests reduce to: clear your browser data, and you're done.
Children
Our tools aren't targeted at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we meaningfully change this policy we'll update the "effective" date at the top and, for material changes, note the change here. No previous versions are kept online because there's essentially nothing to revoke consent for.
