Email Signature Best Practices
What size should an email signature be?
Keep your email signature under 600 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall. Total HTML size should be under 10-20KB including image references. Most email clients will clip signatures that are too large.
What is the ideal email signature image size?
For headshots, use 100x100 pixels. Company logos should be max 120 pixels wide. Banner images should not exceed 600 pixels wide. Keep total image file sizes under 50KB to avoid spam filters and slow loading.
How many links should an email signature have?
Limit your email signature to 4-6 links maximum. Too many links can trigger spam filters. Include only your most important links: website, email, phone, and 1-2 social profiles.
Should I use images or text for social media links?
Text-based social links are more reliable across email clients. Many email clients block images by default, so image-only social icons may not display. Our generator uses text links that work everywhere.
Why does my email signature look different in Outlook?
Outlook uses Microsoft Word's rendering engine, which doesn't support modern CSS. That's why our generator uses table-based layouts with inline CSS — the only approach guaranteed to work in Outlook.
Can email signatures trigger spam filters?
